TED X LSU 2016: WHY

Hi Everyone!

In March of this year (2016), I was invited to a Ted X event. At this event, I participated in a live painting session, collaborating with a group of 11 other artists. The artists were split into teams of three and each team worked on a piece during a Ted Talk. As you may know, Ted Talks aren't very long, so we had to speedily finish each piece before moving along to the next one. Atop of the speed challenge, we also had to work on the tiny, dimly lit balcony of an auditorium, and couldn't speak above a whisper. We'd never met the artists that we teamed up with either.

Taking all of those factors into account, the sessions turned out fantastically. Meshing styles together is sort of difficult, especially when there is no planning period beforehand. Even so, we all did a great job, had a lot of fun, and cranked out some dope artwork. The final pieces were gifted to the TedTalk speakers. Below are the three pieces that I contributed to.

Thanks for reading!
